Reiki Healing

Reiki is a gentle energy healing technique that originated in Japan. It supports relaxation, emotional balance, and healing by working with the body's natural energy.

What is Reiki?

Reiki is a gentle energy healing technique that originated in Japan. It involves the practitioner placing their hands lightly on or just above the body to help channel energy and promote balance, relaxation, and healing. It’s non-invasive and often used alongside other wellness practices.

How does Reiki work?

Reiki works by clearing energetic blockages and supporting the body’s natural ability to heal itself—physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. It helps shift the nervous system from a stressed state into a calmer, more balanced one.

What kind of issues can Reiki help with in daily life?
  • Stress and anxiety
  • Work burnout
  • Problems falling asleep
  • Emotional overwhelm
  • Feeling “stuck” or disconnected
  • Physical tension or chronic fatigue
Some clients say they feel lighter or clearer-headed, while others experience emotional breakthroughs or physical relief.
Do I need to believe in Reiki for it to work?

Many clients come out of curiosity, not belief. They just want to try something holistic—and are often surprised by how grounded and refreshed they feel after.

Is there any touch involved?

Reiki can be done either with gentle, respectful touch (hands placed on the body) or completely hands-off (hovering above the body).I typically hover my hands above the client's body.

How many sessions do I need?

This varies. Some people feel a big shift after one session. Others choose to receive Reiki regularly—weekly, monthly, or as needed—to maintain balance and support long-term well-being.

Is Reiki a replacement for going to a doctor or therapist?

No. Reiki is complementary—it works with, not instead of, other forms of care. It does not diagnose or prescribe. Many clients use Reiki alongside therapy, medical treatment, or other healing modalities.

Can Reiki be done for pets or homes?

Yes! Animals in Singapore—especially anxious pets in high-rise flats—benefit from Reiki too. I also offer energy cleansing for HDBs, condos, and offices, which can feel energetically heavy after arguments, stress, or long-term illness.

Are there side effects?

Reiki is gentle, however, you may experience a temporary resurfacing of symptoms as your body clears out old energy and toxins. This could be in the form of physical symptoms, including flu-like symptoms (headache, sore throat, fatigue), digestive issues (nausea, constipation, diarrhea), or even physical aches and pains. Or emotional release, such as unexpected sadness, anger, or a need to forgive or make amends. This is known as a "healing crisis", it is part of the body processing and rebalancing and how long this process lasts depends on the individual. It is recommended to prioritise self-care, resting and drinking plenty of water for a time period after a session.

Is Reiki a religious practice?

No, Reiki is not tied to any religion or spiritual belief system. It’s a wellness modality that supports your emotional and energetic well-being. In multicultural Singapore, people of all faiths have received Reiki comfortably.

What to expect

How to prepare for a Reiki healing session and what to expect on the day itself?

  • Before the session

I will reach out to confirm your areas of concern, and recommend any add-ons, if needed. If none are needed, then I will see you at the scheduled session.

  • During the session

I will confirm the areas of concerns you have indicated when signing up for a session. Clients are expected to lie down in the Savasana yoga pose with their palms facing up throughout the entire session of minimum 45 mins. However, if you have any physical ailments that does not allow you to lie down in this position, we can have you go through the session in a sitting position as well.

  • After the session

I will share whether I have felt anything uncommon in any parts of your body or chakra positions, and also offer you a glass of water. Please also take it easy for the rest of the day as your body may be in a relaxed state after the session.
